I was surfing youtube and landed on a pg-13 rated clip of a xxx film called BLACKBALLED 5: Starfucker. Of course i watched it...and honestly i didn't get the title until i saw the black guy corner the white soap soap star. Of course, a gang bang ensues. (not in the clip)
youtube.com/watch
the trailer is here:
www.channel1releasing.com/index.php
It was hot. Although it's completely racist.... i still found it hot and I will be provocative enough to challenge other gay men to tell me if they found the idea of an attractive white (in this case prolly latin or italian) boy getting pummeled by a bunch of black men somewhat, if not entirely erotic. I have to question why i find it hot.... and why there's a huge market for black gang bangs in the first place. Do a google search... or search nakedsword.com for BLACK/GANG and BANG...bam!!!!.... you'll get tons. Same scenario...sweet light skined human gets his ass rammed like Mac into a Miyata.
Pornograpghy has these themes even in straight porn... but Gang bangs carry a certain flavor of Hot and just plain wrongness.
thoughts?

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Thu, November 1, 2007 - 9:05 AMit seems like black men are usually in that kind of role, further normalizing the stereotypes of them simply being aggressive/violent and sexually charged. it also seems like black men seldom bottom; i'm thinking this goes along the same lines? -

Thu, November 1, 2007 - 7:00 PMHere’s my take and view of it:
The, stereotyper creates stereotypes.
But this places a responsibility onto the stereotyped, to reinvent self...once again.
Still in the mind of the stereotyper, are his or her illusions and simultaneous fantasy and/or fears.
By his or her mental creation.
Which becomes once again, another obstacle, the stereotyped must leap beyond.
Don't you just get tired, jumping these hurdles; others place in your way.
Like "Common' says: Keep On:

Terry
The only thing I saw in the video is Chi Chi LaRue's personal fantasies reinacted on film. And that of others. -

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Thu, November 1, 2007 - 9:38 PMBut what about those who found it hot?! come on.
I mean there are multi-levels to this.
The fact that there's an actual market place for this and the fact that Black men and white men, i'm sure of it, find it ......HOT. and Buy it...even those...especially those who know better and understand the negative racial content. Revealing?
I mean.. I would almost want to ask white men in the tribe how and when and why they became involved in issues of black and latin and asian oppression...and wonder if it leads back to sexual attraction and the RAID their porn collection or resurect broken or lost pornogra[hy straight from the dead and exhume it like a sexual anthropologist!
I'd do the same for black men and latin men.
there's a greater story involved.
and I'll just go ahead and ask it:
Why is it most white men involved with black men who are interested in black men and all involved poltics and "care" are bottoms?
or versatile Bottoms.
.........................
and now for titles i found....
of Mandingo Porn
www.xrentdvd.com/category/....1-63.html
Then we can talk about the acceptability of racism in porn...and why it's such.
or even it's allure?
come on...lets go! -

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Sat, November 3, 2007 - 9:24 AMI don't go in for porn much, but I'd love to hear others' thoughts on this subject. I talked w/ a friend recently about "taboo" themes in BDSM, and of course roleplaying with racial overtones came up. The two people doing it both thought it was hot, even though they felt some guilt. Is this something we can talk about?

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Sun, November 18, 2007 - 12:12 AMThis topic really interested me, but I couldn't come up with anything to say. It's so complicated how imagination is related to myths, I"m not sure where to unpack it all. I was interested in the idea that all white guys interested in Black guys are bottoms, I don't get around enough to really know, but accept the premise and wonder why?? And I'm at a loss to understand how this connects to pornography or even if it does.
Anyway two recent posts in blogs do have some thoughtful observations. First Larry Lyons in August larrylyons2.blogspot.com/2007/...c.html and Keguro's recent take in response gukira.wordpress.com/2007/11...ography/
Lyon's post is definitely worth a look because his taste for a white woman with a group of Black guys. Lyon's is queer so he touches on the mythological aspects that Mad Jack points to as well as the political ramifications.
Keguro makes a good argument in response:
"I am uncomfortable with any kind of political stand or position that would seek to discipline the work of fantasy and desire. Despite many “convincing” arguments, Law and Order has yet to convince me that the unconscious is an instruction manual. Does watching porn and enjoying it compromise any politics (not just feminism) that believes in the worth of all people? To answer that would require unpacking the various meanings attached to sexual play and, for those of us who embrace the term queer, to explain our resistance to modes of social discipline."
I think unpacking meaning attached to sexual play gets complicated because what we watch isn't necessarily what we like to play. Part of the play of real sex is often quite wrapped up in attachment and belonging and it takes two--at least. Whereas pornography can be a solo experience disconnected from the demands of interplay. -

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 6:28 PMI have read and re-read this thread. John, thanks for the links and reviving it. I know many sex workers and porn actors/acresses as well as producers. Their profession is to entirely sell us a fantasy, no matter what it is. Now, I certainly draw the line at any minors involved in ANY aspect, but it seems that we like to fantasize about sex and how naughty it can be. I think much of it is because of the intolerance of organized religions which seek to shame us on sex and about our bodies. a quick google search will certainly open your eyes to so many fetishes that it will blow your mind...it blew mine. admittedly, I have gotten aroused thinking about some things.....no doubt. (evil grin). I have had discussions with black guys about seeming like a fetish with being with other races and I have too when I get the 'latin' spicy pick up line too. and you know what...sometimes I have gotten into it and so have they. but as you point out, John. The emotional aspect of sex when in realtime with a guy and not a hot video is completely different. As it should be for me. Shouldn't at least our fantasies be allowed to be okay? -

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 7:29 PMI both find power and loss of power when it concerns white men and sometimes Latino and other black men's expectation of me. It leads me to have some hang ups and some insecurities. I was looking at my dick a few months ago in the bathroom mirror thinking about how cool it would be if it were fatter.... and if my voice was a tad deeper, then i'd be a BLACK man.
I have had times were I've not felt as if i was black enough for the bottom pursuing me. A few times I think i just became a jerk to throw em off my trail before sex.... so i wouldn't be rejected. errrgh.
It's complex.
Because at the same token i have this power...with some men who deify me as the magical black man. And if i'm on top of my game and don't think about....fuck em hard enough.... smile.... be pretty.... I get tons of benefits. It makes me smirk in the back of my head as well as silently cringe on how easy it is to use ones sexuality and RACE for gain. In pornography the landscape is ultra that of reality. The white bottom gives up his power to that of the black man. Can be seen so many ways:
Are you giving me your white ass because you want to feel like a bitch for gratification?

Re: Mandingo Porn??
Tue, November 20, 2007 - 11:19 PMI agree with Mad Jack Kash , that it's complex when sorting out all the layers implications of pornography and race, and still having a sense of a reasonably coherent sense of morality.
I thought Keguro's point that "the unconscious is not an instruction manual" pretty good at separating fact from fiction as it were. It would be awful if people could routinely read mind--I mean as it is we can safely undress the stranger we eye without any intention of acting. So I'd answer, Yes, to Lorenzo's question whether our fantasies should be allowed to be okay. But, the complicated thing is finding "hot" that which we think we ought not.
Pornography lays out all sorts of contradictions. There's another blog post that I saw linked to at 3Quarks Daily today "Towards a Humanist Pornography" www.cinestatic.com/infinite...raphy.asp The money quote:
" we can start to imagine anew what a genuinely funny, sweet and exciting pornography would look like: less howling, more giggling."
But would we find it hot?
Anyway another point in that article in re Lesbians, that pornography as it stands seems irredeemable and so written erotica may be of use.
And there's something to that I think. Especially when it comes to all the weird effects of programed racism. People like LIterary Masturbator's writing is able to go to these ideas in a way that pornographic pictures and videos cannot.
