Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 7:37 PMI rather enjoyed like 2 minutes of Alexyss Tylor. At least it seems good to have someone like that talk about sex on TV. But in two minutes, I've got to admit she seems a wee bit strange to me.
Off topic, but maybe slightly related to Vagina Power, I recently discovered Vulva Puppets www.yoni.com/loverf/vulvaintro.shtml
There's a short Quicktime video of a vulva puppet in action here www.dothekegel.com/how/vulv...demo.html -

Wed, August 29, 2007 - 11:30 AMShe's a comedienne. Her act is set as a cable access show with her mother as her discussion partner and pole rather. -

Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:20 PMI watched a couple minutes. I didn't see her as a comic, but a kind of motivational speaker / preacher figure talking about the race / class / age dynamics of male prostitution she has observed and heard about. -

Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:28 PMShe was spoofing the motivational speaker genre. It's funny...that there have been a few people who didnt get it... but by the end it gets so outrageous (Crystal snacks, Suck a dick up until they hiccup, SSI checks, gay men who dont want to date their races, Why anal sex is just not for her or her mother) then you get it. -

Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:37 PMOh, okay, I have seen her stuff on YouTube before, and those bits just came off as a "DIY" motivational speaker, like on any number of access channels. I think her persona is very clearly drawn, I just didn't get that she was playing that part for laughs. Her observations are very funny. -

Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:48 PMActually i'm being quite lazy as to why I actually posted this here. 1 to toss something funny into the usual mix of serious discussion about racial divides and potential bridges with the gay community...and secondly i wondered if this piece of internet video mental masterbation might provoke some conversations and thoughts.. i know i thought several things whist watching this southern Black woman discuss openly homosexuality with blatant potty mouth humor, somewhat acurately displaying the attitudes of most accepting black women on the subject of their black men playing on the other team.
Then i thought about her view of white men as somewhat of an enemy to black men..esspecially the young. As predators....as users....and abusers..
and i thought about my mothers view that the relationshiop between white men and black women has always been sexual... Historically.... which i can find true to points actually. This clip made me think about the relationship between gay black men and white men and it being subject to being viewed as possibly sexual...period. A straight black womens view of gay black men and their relationships with white men could be seen as rightfully valid whatever they say...or could it.
or is it just me that read a little too deeply into this. Whatever the case there's some interesting groud to tread here conversation wise...anyone care to jump in with me on this? -

wow!
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:58 PMSo I signed up at Alexyss's site and read her blog entry "Gays still in denial" in which she address the faux controversy over her "warning to gay boys" vid...
I'll post the link but i'm sure you have to sign up... it's quite fascinating and has this blunt humor i'm sure she is aware of. She gives the following response"
_____________________
After having received attacks by the gay community for misunderstanding my video about gay boys being victimized and the unhealthy appetites of some gay men I created a response video further explaining my position on the matter. Even after this video where I explain that I am detailing the lifestyle of a certain sector of the gay community along with providing evidence to said lifestyle, there are still those who deny the truth.
This blog is to provide visual proof that what I expound upon in my recent videos are in fact evident and true. These acts may not be privy to everyone in the gay community however the world is too small now to be ignorant of such acts. These images were as near as a simple search on Google.
______________
LOL
Thats followed by like, 3 pictures of the skiniest white boys sucking a Huge black dick with a smile and joyfully getting banged...and 5 more of two big black menbanging white ass...and another 2 or 3 of head. The comments are fascinating because of who they are from mostly black southerns...straight women and gay men.
I'm entralled. take 2 minutes to sign up for the helluva it...

Re: "A warning to gay (BLACK) boys!" Funny and NOT SAFE 4 WORK
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 7:59 PMHer observations are full of descriptions and comments on the young black men sex workers / older white men tricks dynamic. I think playing it for humor actually lets people see the situation more clearly than they might. To a lot of people, sex work is of course invisible. -

Tue, September 4, 2007 - 9:00 PMLOL...while others know and cannot deny...
I don't think you are reading too much into this. I now think she is a motivational speaker disguised as a comic, in a really penetrating and clear way. Like Annie Sprinkle, whom also a lot of people don't take seriously.
I saw a show of hers where she was talking about the sacredness of sex and really speaking on that level. So taking her comments on sex work really on the same level, she is saying everybody just take care of yourself, because no one else will.
